We support catch and release when possible to help ensure our fish populations for the future.

The Mozambique coastline offers some of the most spectacular sport fishing in the world. And here, the Indian Ocean is a marine reserve, unspoiled and largely unexplored, ideal for sport fishing. With its deep Mozambique Channel fed by the strong north to south Mozambican current, it harbours some of the world’s most exciting game and bill fish.
Species such as black, blue and striped marlin, sailfish, shortbill spearfish, wahoo, dorado, various tuna species, king and queen mackerel, kingfish (jack’s), queenfish, barracuda and snappers are all found here.
It also boasts a 590kg "All African Black Marlin Record" caught in 1998 by Johnny Harel, off the point of Bazaruto ...with many large fish landed since then.
The area is also becoming a renouned Jigging and Popping destination with deep holes for Amber Jack and superb shalow reefs for GT Popping.
See more info on Jigging and Popping off the lodge boat. Shameless, a 21" centre console Butt Cat.
